ENSUITE & MAIN BATHROOM
For this Doncaster home, our clients sought to modernize their bathroom and ensuite to align with the contemporary style of the rest of the house. They envisioned spaces that were not only functional but also luxurious, exuding a sense of warmth and openness. Our goal was to design serene retreats that felt light and spacious, creating environments they could enjoy every day.
While the layouts of the bathroom and ensuite remained largely the same, we made thoughtful enhancements to improve both functionality and aesthetics. In-wall toilets were installed to create a cleaner, more streamlined appearance, making the rooms feel more spacious. In the main bathroom, we designed a generous walk-in shower, which evokes a spa-like experience and adds to the luxurious ambiance. These subtle yet impactful changes elevated the overall design while ensuring optimal use of space.
To enhance the light and openness of these rooms, we selected lappato-finish tiles. The semi-polished surface of these tiles reflects light beautifully, making the spaces feel brighter and more expansive. We opted for a warm grey stone-look tile with subtle veining, wrapping it around the entire room. This cohesive approach eliminated the need for a feature tile, as the natural elegance of the stone provided ample visual interest.
Lighting played a crucial role in elevating the mood and functionality of the spaces. LED lighting was thoughtfully integrated into the niches, allowing our clients to customize the ambiance. Whether enjoying a relaxing bath or preparing for the day, the adjustable lighting creates a versatile and sophisticated atmosphere, transforming these spaces into personal retreats.
To complete the design, we chose brushed nickel tapware, which adds a modern yet understated elegance. Tasmanian oak cabinetry was introduced to bring warmth and texture, balancing the contemporary features with natural elements. The result is a stunning transformation: a bathroom and ensuite that seamlessly blend practicality with timeless elegance, offering our clients light-filled, tranquil spaces they’ll treasure for years to come.
