ELTHAM
MAIN BATHROOM, ENSUITE & LAUNDRY
Our Eltham project underwent a remarkable makeover, encompassing the ensuite, main bathroom, and laundry spaces. While the layout of the ensuite initially seemed adequate, practicality was lacking for our clients' everyday needs. They yearned for ample storage to accommodate towels, toiletries, and other essentials, given the absence of a nearby linen press.
The original beige and white palette, punctuated by two small blue cabinets, felt uninspiring and hardly functional. It was high time for a refresh—to infuse warmth, colour, and personality into the space, mirroring the lush surroundings of Eltham.
Drawing inspiration from the leafy streetscape, we sought to seamlessly connect the interior with the outdoors. Utilizing a base tile throughout the ensuite and main bathroom, we introduced distinct feature tiles that echoed fossil-like foliage—a nod to nature's intricate beauty. A captivating blend of warm beige tones and vibrant blue accents transformed the ensuite, while verdant green hues enlivened the main bathroom.
In the ensuite shower area, practicality took centre stage with the addition of two niches for convenient storage. Meanwhile, a cumbersome layout in the bathroom and laundry area prompted a strategic redesign. The original placement of the toilet, sandwiched between the two spaces, proved cumbersome and inefficient. By demolishing the dividing wall and relocating the toilet, we liberated valuable floor space and enhanced the flow of the room.
A modern, back-to-wall bath replaced the outdated in-hob setup, lending an illusion of spaciousness and sophistication. With the removal of the linen cupboard, we maximized storage potential by installing a wall-hung tallboy behind the bathroom door.
The result was an inviting and cozy ambiance that seamlessly connects indoor living with the natural beauty of the outdoors. Through thoughtful design and meticulous planning, our Eltham project achieved a harmonious balance of functionality and aesthetic appeal, transforming each space into a sanctuary of comfort and style.
